A Gala

Tonight we went to a gala at the University of Utah stadium for dinner and then opening night of the play 42nd Street at Pioneer Memorial Theater.  TT and I met my parents at the dinner, where I so wish I had my camera!!  Oh well, it was delicious, everyone was dressed up, and then we headed to the theatre for 42nd Street.  Kind of makes me wish I could tap dance....
What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Vintage (first vintage item ever) via Seesaw Vintage
Cardigan: Anthropologie (seen here)
Belt: Anthropologie
Tights: Anthropologie (seen here)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson (seen here)
I love this belt.  Love it.  It pulls you in like nothing you've ever known, but it's not uncomfortable at all.  It's a wonder belt.

Have a fabulous weekend!

The Hula Hoop

Did I mention after all the food from the previous post we tried to hula??  Well we did.  And it was embarassing.  And thanks to my camera, I caught it all on video. And thanks to iMovie, I made this quick vid in seriously 5 minutes.

And yes, I used Lady Gaga's Poker Face to capture the moment.

Sunday Funday!

Sundays are always family day for us! After church, TT and I head to my parents for dinner - which I might add, is always delicious at both of our families.  My grandma brought her famous salad, sister made this ginormous homemade chocolate cake (was sooooo good), dad grilled all the tasty tri-tip, mom did the potatoes, grilled veggies, homemade rolls, and appetizers.  What did I do? ATE.  From there we headed to TT's parents.  Here we enjoyed our second Sunday dessert.  Two desserts has become a Sunday tradition for TT and me. I love it. What was it?  Homemade banana pie with white chocolate oreo crust topped with homemade whipping cream.  Let's just say today I ate my weight in delicious food.  Sundays are so very refreshing for me.
My new coloring book.  Yes, I said MY new coloring book!!  It's awesome, geared towards adults, and brings out creativity you never knew you had! Seriously, so fun and addicting!  Great for a plane ride.  I know TT and I will start fighting over it soon.  You may think I'm childish, until you get your own.
Older brother Adam, we like to play pool together and watch scary movies.
Grandma D.  We love her a lot, and not only because she makes delicious salads.
TT, and his Tar Heels.
What I'm Wearing:
Shirt: Rag & Bone (seen here)
Leggings: Juicy (seen here)
Shoes: Primark

Happy Sunday!!

The Oversized Pant

 What I'm Wearing:
Top: Topshop
Sweater: J. Crew
Belt: Old Navy
Chinos: J. Crew
Shoes: Franco Sarto
One day I'll take the time to get a decent photo, where my face isn't half way shaded, and the colors are truel  I ended up changing out of these pants before work and wore the top with skinny jeans...because I wasn't loving this whole outfit.  I think the pants need to be worn with a loose black or white tee.  I'll give them another try.   I was hoping I could get these pants to turn into something more like this.  I think I know what to do for next time.  Happy Wednesday!!

A Shirt Of Wings

Because I associate so many memories with certain pieces in my closet, I just have to mention a little something about this shirt.  Last summer, I was looking for the perfect outfit for a very special occasion.  I had the skirt, but I needed an appropriate top for the night.  TT and I were meeting both of our families downtown for a once in a lifetime occasion.  Sometimes, only sometimes, I'm a little bit weird about having the perfect outfit.  Tell me you can agree. Anyway, my mom found this one and suggested it to me. It completed my outfit for that night...and it was perfect.
TT.  After he took my picture, he jokingly smiled and posed for his.  This is what he gets...
What I'm Wearing:
Shirt with wings: Anthropologie
Skirt: BCBG
Belt: Husbands.  I need my own black belt.
Shoes: Franco Sarto (last seen here)

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Wrangler Woman

Finally! If my blog seems neglected lately, it's only because I'm gearing up for finals, papers, and more papers, and lots of cramming.  Cramming doesn't start until next week.  Is it bad that I plan to cram?  Isn't the whole reason you cram for a test because you didn't plan? - Anyway, this outfit was largely inspired by a favorite blogger of mine.  I don't feel like the colors shown are the true colors of the outfit, but oh well.
Feet are gross.  Shoes are not.
 What I'm Wearing:
T: Wrangler
Jacket: Wrangler
Jeans: Suzy (seen here)
Shoes: Franco Sarto
Let me quickly tell you why I love this outfit.  The shirt and jacket are from Wrangler store in London.  I bought them on Carnaby Street, after walking along Oxford Street, and happened upon this fabulous little nook of shops.  Seriously, I love London- if not for its museums, parks, Queen, and chocolate, I love it simply for the fashion.  Secret: If I could live anywhere, ANYWHERE, it would be London.  Then when I lived there I would travel all the time to neighboring cities, and countries. Let's go!

Easter Eggs

We had a glorious Easter Sunday!  It was great to listen to and watch General Conference, be with our families, enjoy our Easter traditions, hunt for Easter eggs filled with gift certificates for food (perfect for us, we love food, and don't have much time to fix it right now), played with our neices, and of course... opened Easter socks.
Everyone loves a pair of Happy Socks!

Happy Easter!

Up or Down

Yep -that's SNOW.  I thought it finished for the season and it was time for spring sunshine.  It's like Mother Nature played an April Fools joke on Salt Lake.  I always think of awesome April Fools jokes like months too late and tell myself I'll do it the next one, and then that never happens.  Anyway - I felt like something was missing with this outfit, and decided to put my hair up, and tie the trench differently, to get a different look.
When I don't have to (or when I can't) take my laptop or textbooks with me to class, I usually just take this little bag with everything I need for note taking.  One of my professors does not allow laptops in class, and it's 3 HOURS LONG.  That's as long as church.  At the beginning of the semester I thought I wouldn't survive without having my computer with me, but it's turned out to be my favorite class this.  Which look do you like better?
What I'm Wearing:
Trench: Banana Republic (purchased for my study abroad in London...it helped me fit in :) )
Shirt: Rag & Bone - found at a darling boutique in Park City - I was told it's a t-shirt dress, for me it's just a shirt
Skinnies: J. Brand (seen here) (and here
Shoes: Target (seen here)
Bag: Vera Bradley
