via instagram

We no longer have our trusty Blackberry's, which means we've moved onto iPhones, and instagram.  I really enjoy having at least two cameras with me, and so having a decent camera on my phone makes that pretty easy. This last week, there have been some fun lunch dates (and dinner dates too!), lots of good food, Halloween celebrations and decorations, and watching TT coach football.  Happy fall.
The man himself.
Sunday morning, TT and I enjoyed made from scratch pancakes.  The cute dish towel is from my mom.

Isn't the fall season just beautiful?  If you're on instagram, I'm thistinygem.

a long weekend in deer valley

We all spent an incredibly long and relaxing weekend in Deer Valley over the 24th of July.  It was the most relaxing weekend I think we've all had in a long time.  The boys played golf, while the girls walked and shopped our way down main street.   We sat a beautiful fire pit overlooking all of Deer Valley and Park City, we went swimming, hot tubbing, made s'mores, photographed star trails, went hiking, stayed up late, had family pictures taken, and took lots of other pictures, did the alpine slide, ate too much good food, enjoyed breakfast on the patio one morning, some of us went running, went to church down in Midway, enjoyed brunch at Stein Ericksen, rode ski lifts up the mountain for some scenic views, and enjoyed a backyard bbq to top off the weekend.

All photos from this post are from our night spent down in Park City:

Must admit, I was scared to go up the ski lift without any snow on the ground.

a bit of the fourth

There were lots of very patriotic people and decor around this 4th of July...
Fabulous homemade ice cream and cookies, which I had turned into a sandwich...
There was badminton, golf, hikes, runs, and water balloons...
People were smiling...
There were family meals at The Homestead, BBQs in our backyards, hamburgers, pizza from The Pie, and fresh bagels from Pizza Galleria...

...and that's only some of the fun ways we spent our weekend.  We love the 4th of July! Happy Birthday America!!

Christmas Recap

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day spending it with our families and each other.  Some of my favorite Christmas traditions include: pajamas on Christmas Eve, singing Christmas hymns, a fancy Christmas Day dinner, a fancy Christmas Eve dinner, lots of pictures, white elephant exchange, Christmas breakfast, lots of baking, being showered with gifts, and most importantly celebrating the birth of Christ.

My favorite girl.

Thanks to everyone for all of the thoughtful gifts, good food, and fun times this Christmas holiday season!
