Shoulder Pads.

What I'm Wearing: Shirt-Nordstrom, BF Jeans-Banana Republic, Shoes-Charles by Charles David

I feel like I'm channeling my inner "Betty" with this outfit.  I love this outfit, and I know it's very different, and very unlike a lot of what I usually wear.  As we were headed to my parents for dinner, TT asked me if I needed my helmet since I was wearing shoulder pads. I think I know how he feels about this shirt.

This weekend we went up to Park City, had a wonderful dinner with friends, we worked, I attended the Relief Society Broadcast with my mom and sister, went out for shakes, grocery shopped, went to church, ate dinner at my parents, took EVC to see the horses, visited with TT's family on the back patio under a beautiful sunset, and spent some quality time with our pup.  It was fabulous.

I have to ask, what are your thoughts on shoulder pads/shoulder pointed jackets etc.?

Silky Stripes

The Monday following spring break...  It's like I have to be reminded all over again how to get up super early and go to class, and I have to refresh myself on everything I'm learning.  It's scary how much you can forget in one week.  One thing I did love about my break was that I read... and it wasn't a text book.  I have a stack of books I can't wait to read after this semester.  What's your favorite book?  Any suggestions for me to put on my list?
Can you see this nail polish?  It is soo cute in the bottle, and soo not cute on.  It looks like I have mint chocolate chip ice cream dripping all over my hands.  Oh well.  I still love Essie's spring collection.
What I'm Wearing:
Silk Shirt: J. Crew
Jeans: Suzy (seen here)
Shoes: Target (seen here)
Jacket: Banana Republic

How do you style silk shirts?  I need suggestions!! Happy Monday!

I know that he knows

My routine: most mornings, I wake up and go to class (slowly, but I do go), then I run home, shower and get ready and zoom back downtown for work.  Why not just shower and get ready before school?  Because.  That would mean I'd need to get up at like 5:30 so I could leave by 6:30.  In my world, that's not even really an option.  With that being said, I have a confession.  I'm usually in such hurry to shower, get ready, eat something, and get out the door that I don't think about much else.  Yesterday TT let me in on a little secret.  He said, "You're kinda grumpy when you're getting ready."  Bam.  It's true.  Not only I know it, but he knows it too.  I'm usually in such a hurry to put on my makeup *carefully put on mascara*, blow dry my hair, and change my outfit like 8 times, that I'm not a very nice person in the process.  Plus I leave a whirlwind of a mess - every day! There's just something about getting ready that is kinda sorta stressful...that something is probably me.  My goal:  to be ready sooner, and to prepare as much as I can the night before.  I think this will help things go more smoothly.  Wish me luck.
What I'm wearing:
Jacket: Hurley, purchased in Disneyland
Blouse: Splendid - don't love it that much anymore. Want it?
Belt: Urban Blues
Jeans: Skinnies, no name brand from Nordstrom Rack ($17) and they fit like a gem
Shoes: flats from Primark, London

Does anyone else always feel like they're hurrying to get ready?  Please tell me I'm not the only one.  I need to schedule myself better.  Have a great day!!

Wanna know what else is new?

I got new glasses.  They could be my most favorite frames so far.  Yes please, and thank you.  I told you I would.

Blacks+Grays=Comfort

You know those days where you want to be cute (like every day, duh) but you want to be comfortable? Do you know what I mean? Like no jeans digging into you (maybe that's just me), no scarf staring you back in the face, no high heels constantly reminding you you didn't cut your toe nails (too much information), etc?  This outfit was inspired to be one the exact opposite of one of those outfits.  And I loved it.
batman?i look like i'm about to take flight.

What I'm wearing:
Coat: North Face
T: Wal-Mart $4 booyah
Leggings: Juicy
Boots: London £3

OH, and yes, those are my roots. Take a good look.  And please enjoy them.
I really need NEED some skinnys because I want to be able to wear my boots with something other than these pants. Sometimes I'm a little self conscious they are too thin.
Thanks for reading Fresh!

Do you feel comfortable wearing leggings (like cotton leggings) as opposed to skinny jeans or something thicker?

High Wasted Glory

Look sketchy? Look cold?  It was both.  I have officially decided that Mondays are the long days this semester.  With school in the morning, then work through the afternoon, and back to school until late, today felt long.  I'm sure it could be worse.  It seriously hasn't been until just recently that I started wearing these jeans frequently, but now that I see them in these photos I'm ready to put them back at the bottom of the pile.  The wash on them is weird.  I'm over it.

What I'm Wearing:
Sweater: J. Crew -3 yrs old
Shoes: Jessica Simpson

Do you wear/like high wasted jeans?

Hope you all had a great Monday!  Thanks for reading Fresh!

It Doesn't Matter That I'm Black And White

Please excuse my hair.  I didn't anticipate the mini wind storm we encountered on our way home from school.  It's actually a good reminder that it's really time for a new hair style.  Really.  Please SOMEONE tell me what it needs.  What hair products do you swear by?

What I'm wearing:
Shoes:BCBG
Pants: Black Denim by Suzy
Shirt: Gap (special from New York)
Scarf: Nordstrom
Watch: gifted from My Dad

You can't really see the detail in the shirt, but it's why I love this shirt.  If you look closely to the left of the scarf you'll see it!  I had the perfect coat on with it, but unfortunately, didn't snag a picture with it.  Okay I lied.  I did get a picture of it, but it definitely didn't turn out. Maybe next time.

Sundance Film Festival started today! I live thirty minutes away from it, and I really want to go!  Maybe I'll see a celeb or two.  I mean, it's not like I would really care if I saw one anyways... :)

Up against a rock wall

Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday! It was nice not to have school today, and just work!  TT and I slept in a little more than planned, which is always nice (but sometimes frustrating).  After work, we met up with my parents for dinner.  Mexican. What can I say, the love for Mexican food runs in the family.

What I'm wearing:
White T: American Eagle
Blazer: Banana Republic, 3 yrs old
Pants: Cimarron, I found these down a little street in Paris while on study abroad.
Shoes: Steve Madden? not sure

I like this blazer but sometimes feels it doesn't fit the way it should.  Like it's a little too roomy, but the next size down wouldn't have fit any better.  Would you have added accessories to this outfit? I couldn't decide, so I just left it the way it is.

Hope everybody had a great day!!

One top, Two days

Weekend recap: definitely a super fun weekend!  I loved it.  Saturday was busy busy.  Some of the highlights included lots of family time, playing games, eating out, celebrating birthdays, going out on my first blind double date, and taking lots of pictures!

Saturday night, TT and I went on our first blind double date.  When I told him we were going out he said, "I thought I was done with blind dates after I got married."  Ha, well little did he know.  We met up with Elaine from clothedmuch and her husband for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.   I have to say she's just as funny, genuine, and petite in person!  We stayed for three hours at the restaurant talking, laughing, and of course eating.

I'll admit I was a little nervous to meet her, but it couldn't have been more fun!  I got the chance to ask her a few questions that I'll be sharing with the rest of you shortly in my very first blogger spotlight!
Sunday's outfit:

Okay, well obviously these jeans are much to long for flats.  But Sunday calls for comfort, right?
grey sweatshirt/shirt: Gap (new as of Saturday)
Scarf: gifted
Watch: gifted from Dad
Jeans: Seven For All Mankind
Flats: gifted from TT

I wore this same outfit last night (I'm just being honest), when we were out on our blind double date last night but with black jeans instead of classic denim.
Saturday's outfit:

Thanks so much to Elaine and her husband for meeting up with us.  We had a fabulous time! Stay tuned for the inside scoop on clothedmuch! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Oh, and since I totally admitted I wore the same top twice, do you like it better with black or denim?

Black To School

There is nothing super stylish or up-to-date-with-current-fashion about this outfit.  It's just black.   Sometimes when I'm not really sure of what to wear it's really easy for me to grab black.  Why is that?

I wanted to add a little color, and instead of choosing a big necklace, I chose the belt.  Maybe I could've done both.  The shoes I personally love.  They are BCBG, purchased about 6 months ago, and this is the 2nd time I've worn them! That's a direct correlation with the height of the shoes.

And also, I'd like to welcome home my little big twin brothers who have recently returned from their missions!  Daniel served in Taiwan and Stephen in Mexico City.  It's been two years since I've seen them! Welcome Home!

On an opposite note:  I want some white jeans.  You might think that's the worst idea ever, but I want some.  I don't have any, and so often I see them worn so fashionably!  Any suggestions where I might get some?

Hope everyone had a wonderfully fresh day!
