via instagram

We no longer have our trusty Blackberry's, which means we've moved onto iPhones, and instagram.  I really enjoy having at least two cameras with me, and so having a decent camera on my phone makes that pretty easy. This last week, there have been some fun lunch dates (and dinner dates too!), lots of good food, Halloween celebrations and decorations, and watching TT coach football.  Happy fall.
The man himself.
Sunday morning, TT and I enjoyed made from scratch pancakes.  The cute dish towel is from my mom.

Isn't the fall season just beautiful?  If you're on instagram, I'm thistinygem.

Halloween Party Time

This last weekend, TT and I threw a fun Halloween Party.  And let me tell you, the costumes did not disappoint.  We set up a photo booth to capture everyone's get up as they came through the door, and here they are...
Me and TT: Brian Wilson, and Michael Jackson
Danielle and Jake: A Butterfly and Horse (I still can't get over his mask!)

Daniel and Amy: Ken and Barbie
Stephen and Rachel: Ken and Barbie
How fun is it to see twins with twins?
Matt and Avery: Darla and Alfalfa (spot on costumes!)
Sarajane and Richie: Raggedy Ann and Andy
Adam and Muy: CaveMan and CaveWoman - they rocked it!
Nick, Chelsea, and Baby Tess: Hotdog, Stylin' Witch, and Cow
Beth and Landon: Male Order Bride, and Creepy American Recipient
This cute couple won first place in the costume contest.
(sidenote - his mustache was the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time, but so hilarious!)
Becca and Judd: Lucy and Ricky
I love that wig.  They look just like them in black and white!
Seth and Sam:  Miner and Witch
Kristen and John: Ken and Barbie (this totally suits you two!)
Randi and Tobin: Medusa and God of the Seas (or something like that)
How sweet are their costumes?  I love it all the way down to the snakes in her hair and Tobin's crown.
Me and my sister, ask Captain Hook.
A beardless Brian Wilson...just for a few minutes.
Twins and twins.
Captain Hook, Peter Pan, TinkerBell and Smee
And this sweet picture is perhaps my favorite one! She makes the best Peter Pan.

Thanks again everyone for coming, your costumes were great! Happy Halloween!!

conference sunday + weekend recap

Where do I begin?  How about these delicious Gooey Chocolate Chip Sandwich Bars my mom made and included in her unreal selection of breakfast foods for conference brunch.  Who doesn't love a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough, followed by a layer of fudge, and topped with another layer of homemade cookie crumble? Yes please.  I woke up this morning to an email from her on my phone, that said "these will be at brunch today" with a link to the recipe.  She's brilliant.

And we got to hangout with these girls today:

Friday: Friday night was fabulous.  We met up with some of our good friends, who are newly engaged (yay!), and headed to Bountiful for a mission reunion.  From there we headed in to downtown Salt Lake and ate dinner at bluelemon, then grabbed dessert at Hatch's Family Chocolates.   From there we made our way to the Salt Lake City Cemetary.  Why?  Because it's time to kick off Halloween.  In fact, I'm hoping TT will let me watch Hocus Pocus tonight.

And Saturday: Was an adventure!  After work, me and a few coworkers headed out to the Bonneville Salt Flats for a photo shoot and workshop.  It was supported exclusively by Pictureline, and held by Wasatch Camera Club.  We got off on exit 4, exit 4!!  That's 4 miles from the Nevada/Utah border, and also 4 miles shy of Wendover.  I can't wait to share more pictures.  It was a lot of fun.  And naturally, after the shoot we packed up and headed to Wendover to grab some food.  It was a first for me.  I'll be sharing more about this later in the week.
Let's just say the Salt Flats are really, really cool. More to come!
